what is the cheapest way of money transfer from overseas?
Hi All,
I would like to have a suggestion.
I've just been informed form my bank in Holland that everytime I transfer the money form my dutch account to a kasikorn bank account, I have to pay extra 10 Euros as a fee for the kasikorn bank. It's around 500 bahts and another 10 Euros extra also as a fee but for my bank in Holland. So In total it's 20 Euros (1,000 bahts) extra as a fee and 1,340 bahts extra for the shipping. 20 Euros is sth, even not too much, but it makes the price of a bag I wanna buy more expensive than it should be.
I never transfer money to another thai bank than kasikorn. Is the 500-baht fee also applied to another thai bank as well? or it's just only for the kasikorn bank?
Besides, sometimes even I use the world currency exchange rate, people in Thailand somehow get the money a little bit less than it should be as well.
I have learned from this that actually money transfer by internet banking form an overseas account to a thai account is not a good idea at all.
Is there another method for this? Can u recommend which method I should use for the money transfer to Thailand? Are there another method which is cheaper than this?
I won't go back to Thailand soon so i cannot apply for the internet banking service for my thai account.
:( :( :( :( :(
Any suggestion would be appreciated,
:D :D :D :D :D :
RE: what is the cheapest way of money transfer from overseas?
I used bank wire from Bangkok Bank and SCB, same fees applied. Thai bank charges $20 fee for transferring money, the bank on the other end charges another $20. I think the best way (for buyer) is Paypal. It won't charge you to send money. The seller's responsible for all charges. Besides, it protects the buyer to certain extent. You should look into it. Hope it helps.
